Job Story:

Global Wrap recently completed a two-phase temporary weather protection project at a high-profile university in Tallahassee, FL. Our long-standing client needed a dependable dry-in solution to protect active construction zones during Florida’s unpredictable rain season — and we delivered.

In Phase 1, our crew installed a 12,650 SF temporary roof system to protect critical work happening directly underneath. Working at height, the team operated with full fall protection and installed our 12-mil FR shrink wrap to create a drum-tight seal, ensuring the space below stayed dry and operational during the ongoing build.

Approximately a month later, we returned for Phase 2, as planned in our project scope. This time, we installed 8,175 SF of temporary construction walls, again using our 12-mil FR shrink wrap to provide a durable, weather-tight enclosure. Despite a busy job-site with numerous trades working simultaneously, our crew executed a clean and efficient install, incorporating zipper access doors to allow crews to move in and out of the space while maintaining full protection from the elements.

By combining temporary roofing and walls, we created a reliable, dry environment that allowed our client to keep construction moving on schedule — rain or shine. This project is another example of how Global Wrap can provide tailored solutions to meet our clients' evolving needs on complex jobsites.
