Omaha, NE - Temporary Curtain Walls and Scaffolding Wrap Phase 1

Category: Aviation

Size: 25,000 Square Feet

Job Story:

Global Wrap's latest project involved providing our weather protection solutions on a large airport expansion project to allow for concrete pouring during the harsh Omaha winter.

This project did not come without its challenges. First, our crew had to create a tailored solution for this unique project, as our system had to tie in to already existing building and a scaffolding tower. Typically, our system would be attached to concrete flooring on the ground level, however for this project since there was no concrete flooring in place yet, our crew had to install a specialized cabling system on the ground level to attach our system to. Global Wrap also had to work around other construction trades, ensuring that there were no disruptions to the client's ongoing operations.

Battling gruesome cold weather and high winds, our crew was able to complete this enclosure in quick time, exceeding the client's expectations. While on the jobsite, our team was able to accommodate several special requests, including the installation of multiple large openings to allow for equipment access, man-sized zipper doors, and wrapping additional openings and scaffold platforms for weather protection. All of this work was performed using our 12-mil FR heat shrink wrap, the strongest and best weather protection material that can be found in the construction industry.

This was our first of a scheduled four phases for this project. Global Wrap is proud to serve our clients, and couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to serve them and their projects, helping keep their projects on the critical path to completion. Phase one of this project was a great success, and we are looking forward to three more successful phases.
